Bamboo-Mat is a Nikkei restaurant in Stratford East Village serving Peruvian-Japanese cuisine. The kitchen explores the meeting point between two ancient cultures, blending Japanese discipline with Peruvian energy and symbolism. Offerings include signatures, tasting menus, and a raw bar, each dish following a precise choreography where technique, material and story become one. The Stratford location is part of a two-site operation alongside Canary Wharf Wood Wharf. Nikkei is presented not as fusion but as dialogue and transformation, where structure meets instinct and tradition becomes movement. The restaurant creates an experience designed to leave guests feeling as though they have travelled between worlds.
