I started out as a military photographer, which is not the usual route into weddings, and it left me with two habits that turn out to be useful: I work fast and I do not fuss. What I do the rest of the week Most of my work is commercial. Marketing and PR photography for companies, charities, local authorities and schools, all over the UK. That means I am used to shooting to a brief, under time pressure, and turning the edits round quickly rather than in six weeks. Why that matters at an event An event runs to a schedule whether the photographer is ready or not. I am comfortable with that. I get what is needed, I do not hold the room up for group shots, and you get your gallery while the day still feels recent. What I photograph Weddings and pre-wedding shoots, family parties and milestone celebrations, corporate events and conferences, headshots and team portraits, products, interiors and architecture.
