e5 Poplar Bakehouse is a micro bakery and speciality coffee roastery in Poplar, Tower Hamlets, serving sourdough bread, croissants, cakes and treats alongside sustainably sourced coffee. Open daily from 8am to 3:30pm, the bakehouse produces signature loaves including Poplar Wild and Seeded Wild, baked using e5's principles of sustainability and food security. Set beside Bartlett Park and the Limehouse Cut, the light-filled space offers seating that extends into the wildflower garden during summer months. The team includes participants from the Not Just Bread Programme, a refugee training initiative run with the Refugee Council since 2013, reflecting the bakehouse's commitment to community and skilled craft baking.
