Language of Dance Centre is an entertainment and education organisation specialising in dance notation and choreographic practice. Founded by pioneering dance notator Dr Ann Hutchinson Guest, the centre preserves and teaches the Labanotation system, a comprehensive method for recording dance in written form. Based in Tower Hamlets, LODC offers programmes exploring dance as a form of creative and physical expression, rooted in rigorous notation research. The organisation works with children, young people, and adults to develop understanding of dance through its distinctive notation approach, connecting historical dance practice with contemporary creative work.
