Stroma Folk & Ceilidh provides live ceilidh bands and folk musicians for events. The 3-piece live band includes a friendly dance caller who uses gender-neutral terminology to make events inclusive for all dancers. Packages range from approximately 2 hours of ceilidh dancing, to ceilidh plus iPod disco, background music during ceremonies and dining, or freestyle folk dancing. Many musicians are classically trained and can play violin, guitar, harp, oboe, recorder, piano and other instruments. The band works directly with clients to customise their event, and musicians are happy to adapt on the day if needed. All performers are professional players, many trained at leading UK music schools.
