At a glance
Exclusive hire
You get the whole place. No drop-in session runs alongside your party, so for your slot the door is yours and the room is only full of people you invited.
What is in the room
Soft play, a climbing frame, a role-play kitchen and supermarket, and a reading nook, all under a lot of natural light, so the photographs actually come out. There is a kitchen for refreshments and a terrace for when the weather plays along. It was built for children from three months to five years, which means everything in here is the right size and nothing needs moving out of reach.
Why I built it
I am a local mum. I could not find childcare that was flexible enough to fit real family life, so I built this and funded it myself. It is independent, and that is why the detail is right.
How a party runs
You bring your own food, your own decorations and your own entertainment, which keeps the cost where you want it rather than where a package puts it. If you would rather not organise that side, I can arrange a children's party entertainer for arts and crafts, music, storytelling or a bubble disco. My team stay on hand throughout, so you are not the one watching the door.
Who it is for
First birthdays and parties for under fives are what this room does most often. It also works for baby showers, christening lunches and the kind of family get-together where the little ones need somewhere safe to be while the adults finally get to talk to each other.
The team
My team are DBS checked and First Aid trained, and most hold Level 3 childcare qualifications. The space meets Ofsted standards. Several of them came from nurseries and schools, so this is what they do every day rather than a weekend job.
