We are a 1930s Dutch barge, permanently moored on the Albert Embankment between Vauxhall and Lambeth bridges. Before us she carried cargo through the war and spent years in Paris, and before that, champagne. The view Houses of Parliament on one side, the London Eye up the river, Battersea Power Station down it. This is the reason most people book us and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The spaces The lower deck is indoors with double height ceilings and it is the one people take most. It holds eighty plus, you get full use of the PA, and there is room for a live band. The outdoor decks hold around thirty five each and close at eleven, which is a river thing rather than our choice. Take the whole boat and you are at a hundred and fifty. Food and drink Draught beer, cocktails and wine, and we make our dosas and pizzas from scratch. Dogs are welcome and several of them are regulars. Things people ask Bastille played one of their first gigs on here. Frank Skinner once called us one of his favourite secret spots in London, which we have never quite got over. We are open daily, year round, from midday until one. We do not hold a wedding licence, but our sister boat the Battersea Barge at Nine Elms does, and we are happy to point you at them.
