Espacio Gallery is an independent, curated contemporary art space in East London that has maintained a permanent physical venue for over 15 years. The gallery organises curated exhibitions with approximately 37 artist spaces per show. Selection is merit-based: artists apply free of charge, and a curatorial team reviews each application individually against the exhibition concept. Selected artists receive an invitation with participation costs and exhibition details. The gallery receives no public funding or corporate sponsorship, and maintains itself through participation fees that support rent, utilities, professional operations, lighting, marketing and visitor reception. Artists retain 100% of sales revenue.
