Description
Markfield Beam Engine and Museum is a Grade 2 listed Victorian engine hall set in Markfield Park on the River Lee. The restored, working steam-powered beam engine dates from 1888 and served as a vital public health facility from the 1850s to 1964. Hire this unique, atmospheric space for filming, photo-shoots and private events. The riverside location in north London offers an extraordinary backdrop steeped in industrial heritage. Open days run the second and fourth Sunday of each month, plus most Bank Holidays. Museum entry is free; donations welcome. Contact the team for hire rates and availability.
