Serpentine North is a former Grade II-listed 1805 gunpowder store that opened to public hire for the first time in 2013. Located in Kensington Gardens, it comprises two central rectangular Powder rooms with exposed brick and beams, surrounded by a modern square gallery. The space hosts changing contemporary art exhibitions year-round, creating distinctive backdrops for corporate events, receptions, product launches, fashion shows, filming, and private functions. Event capacities vary depending on the current exhibition. The adjacent Magazine, housed in a Zaha Hadid extension, is available as a standalone venue or combined hire. Both spaces support the Serpentine's charitable mission to keep art and architecture accessible to all.
