Description

Woodberry Wetlands is an 11-hectare nature reserve in Hackney managed by London Wildlife Trust. The site features reed-fringed ponds and dykes, opened to the public in 2016. A newly refurbished, wheelchair-accessible main path connects the entrance through the Coal House to the New River Studio, with six benches placed along the route. The reserve supports diverse wildlife including kingfishers, great crested grebes, bitterns, smooth newts, and various bat species. Facilities include a visitor centre, toilets, accessible facilities, baby changing, a shop, and a café. Dogs are assistance animals only. The site is free and level-access throughout, with disabled parking available at entrances. Open year-round: October, March 9:30am, 4pm; April, September 9:30am, 5pm.
